Music is Jasmine Netsena's first language. The singer-songwriter, who is of the Dene and Tahltan Nations, first learned to sing from her grandmothers in their Indigenous languages. Jasmine joined Banff Centre for the Singer-Songwriter residency in spring, 2019.

Ballet BC spent two weeks at Banff Centre putting the finishing touches on the company's new production of Romeo + Juliet. The dancers worked with artistic director Emily Molnar to bring Medhi Walerski's choreography to life.

This video explores how the pair weave together dance and theatre as creative languages, to create performances that transcend traditional storytelling.
